Hello everyone, and welcome to the Summer Movie Season Preview for July. I am thrilled to share this preview with you. The first two months have been great, but Month 3 truly feels like it’s going to be legendary. The lineup on tap for July is stacked with 3 of the year’s biggest films, all of which have a level of anticipation that is, for lack of a better word, unprecedented, especially in this decade. The beginning of new eras is the theme for all 3 as new chapters begin for the Jurassic Park franchise, one of the Marvel Universe’s most iconic families, and the long-awaited return of the Man of Steel. You've got a lot to look forward this month, so let’s go over everything that’s coming your way in Month 3

Jurassic World Rebirth (Universal Pictures, July 2nd)

 

The current world has proven too much for the giants that predate humanity to handle. While the majority of the prehistoric key stone species are dying off, those that remain may hold the key to saving the lives of millions. For a group of scientists and mercenaries, the question they face is: how far are you willing to go or more accurately where are you willing to go, to ensure the survival of your species? The next chapter in the Jurassic Park franchise sees us entering a new era with new characters and even new dangers. Director Gareth Edwards leads the newest installment alongside the talents of Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Rupert Friend. Life finds a way within a whole new domain when Jurassic World Rebirth arrives in theaters on July 2nd.

DC's Studios Superman

It seems like the world continues to spiral into a state of emotional chaos, despair and unrest. For a young man born of the stars but raised in Kansas, he tries to live his life being a symbol for those that see hope as a distant dream. As the odds continue to stack against him, one has to wonder if his philosophy of kindness and compassion will work in a world that views them as old-fashioned relics of the past. James Gunn begins the long-awaited first steps of his DC Universe with the definitive first cinematic chapter of the DCU. The highly anticipated film sees the talents of Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathigi, Skyler Gisondo, and David Cornswet as Clark Kent, aka the Man of Steel himself, Kal-El. Look up in the sky for the arrival of the Man of Tomorrow when DC Studios' Superman flies into theaters on July 11th.

Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four First Steps
 (Marvel Studios, July 25th)

As the prime defenders of NYC, Sue, Johnny, Reed and Ben dedicate themselves to defending their home from threats known and unknown. But one potential cataclysmic event could threaten those they have sworn to protect as well the life that they want to build together. The MCU finally brings Marvel’s First Family into the heroverse in the opening film of the final phase of the multiverse saga. Matt Shakman leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss Bachrach in the 60 inspired period piece that will bring these iconic characters to the big screen in the way they were meant to be. Witness the dawn of a new chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe when The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes to theaters on July 25th.
