  What's going on, Followers, and welcome to the 2026 Summer Movie Season Month 1 Preview. We have a full slate of movies set to release over the next several weeks that will kick-start the season. Month 1 will be a condensed one this year, with May's slate combining with June. This will result in a slightly shorter season, but don't let that trick you into thinking there won't be a massive influx of cinematic fare to start this year's campaign. With the return of Star Wars, Woody and Buzz, Steven Spielberg, and the cousin of Kal-El, there is no shortage of top-tier films to indulge in.
